Daytime Newborn Care

Available from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., 6 hour minimum and 12 hour maximum. Our daytime support gives moms the opportunity to rest and recover after birth, with the reassurance of expert care from our nurses.

  • Keeping mom hydrated with water, tea, and bone broth throughout the day

  • Warming up food for mom and bringing them to her

  • Assisting with feedings—whether breastfeeding or bottle-feeding

  • Handling diaper changes

  • Changing and soothing the baby as needed

  • Monitoring both mom’s postpartum recovery and baby’s well-being

  • Washing bottles, breast pump parts, and folding baby/kid laundry

  • Charting all of baby's activities throughout the day

 

Whether it's one night, one week, 4 weeks, or 20 weeks, our flexible scheduling accommodates your unique requirements. There is no minimum requirement of days when booking our day nurse care. You can use our services for as little or as long as you'd like.

Our agency requires our nurses to have their BLS.

Most of our nurses have their PEARS, PALS, or NRP certifications as well.

Our Registered Nurses can help with the following: 
 

Feeding

Prepping, washing and sterilizing bottles and feeding the baby, whether through bottle-feeding or bringing the baby to the mother for breastfeeding. They may also help with pumping and storing breast milk. 

 

Diaper Changes

Changing diapers as needed throughout the night to ensure the baby remains clean and comfortable.

 

Soothing, Swaddling, and

Fostering Healthy Sleep Routines:

Helping to soothe and settle the baby back to sleep, swaddling baby, and establishing healthy sleep habits.

 

Light Housekeeping

Your nurses will sterilize all bottle’s used and can assist with washing and sterilizing mom’s pump parts if needed. Our nurses will assist with folding baby laundry while the baby is sleeping. 

 

Record Keeping 

Keeping track of the baby's feeding schedule, diaper changes, sleep patterns, temperament, and any other relevant information to share with the parents in the morning.

Your baby's safety will always be our top priority.  We are committed to the importance of safe sleep practices, proper feeding and infant CPR.
