DARYN SHEETS
BSN, RN, NRP
Daryn is a new mom herself! Residing in Orlando with her spouse, Brendan, they welcomed a baby girl into their family in May 2024. Daryn is a Registered Nurse, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2020 from the University of Central Florida. She got her start in the Emergency Department, keeping calm in a stressful environment during the peak of COVID. After a year, she transitioned to her true passion at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in the Mother/Baby unit. Working for one of the largest maternity hospitals in the US, she has seen and learned so much. After about six months, she became a Preceptor and Charge Nurse, guiding and directing her colleagues and patients.
Even before she became a new mom, Daryn had helped hundreds of new moms with the nuances of newborns. She works closely with her hospital's lactation team to ensure her patient's goals are achieved. Once her daughter was born, Daryn saw the other perspective of motherhood. Her daughter was particularly difficult in the newborn phase, and while working with a lactation consultant and her pediatrician, she was able to pinpoint the troubles her newborn was experiencing with reflux, CMPA, and tongue and lip ties. Now, her daughter is an incredibly happy, giggly, and rambunctious baby.
Daryn brings the lessons she learned with her own baby back into the hospital, further helping new mothers. She is excited to extend that help to mothers in the first few weeks of bringing a new baby home and allow them the precious sleep, rest, and peace of mind that every new mother deserves but may struggle to get.
